Designed by Heather Lynn Haynes and launching as part of larger HBCU-inspired collection, the Clark Atlanta University x Nike Dunk Low ‘Panthers’ pays tribute to the first HBCU founded in the Southern United States. Asymmetrical color blocking is applied to leather uppers in Clark Atlanta’s signature hues: black, grey and red. Woven tongue tags display the Panthers logo, while an embroidered 1988 on the heel tab references the year that Atlanta University consolidated with Clark College. The institution’s motto — ‘Find a Way or Make One’ — is printed on the laces. The shoe’s cupsole tooling is highlighted by a translucent rubber outsole, which reveals a large Panther graphic underfoot.
